Game Creates too many Auto Saves (OS X 1.2.1)
I've been playing BFW 1.2.1 on Mac OS 10.4.8. The game is making a new auto save file every turn. Example: The_Elves_Besieged-Auto-Save1 The_Elves_Besieged-Auto-Save2 The_Elves_Besieged-Auto-Save3 ... etc If I play the game for any significant amount of time, my save folder is flooded with auto-save...

Visual Display of ZoC
Is a unit's lack of a ZOC now displayed onscreen?
If not, I think it should be, so Level 0 units don't have "hidden rules" associated with them.
I'm not sure what sort of keyword would be good for describing this.
MOD NOTE: split from L0 unit topic

Deselect Key
Is there a key on the keyboard that will de-select a unit? If not, I think it would be a nice thing to add. I may try to do it myself if I'm not alone in wanting this. Background: When I say de-select, I mean when you click on one of your units, and it's movement grid appears. I often decide I do no...

Patch Submission Format
Are there specific guidelines anywhere on how to submit a patch? More specifically, on the format of the patch itself? I've only submitted one patch, and it was about a year ago. I noticed that people were submitting patches as .diff files, so I read up on how to create .diff files and submitted my ...

I like slow being effective immediately as it is now. It gives the shaman a chance to survive. I think halving damage is better than halving attacks because then there aren't issues with units like thunderer who have a 1-shot attack. The defense % changes are interesting, but that is getting too com...

Personally, I love the current Normal/Medium difficulty level. I think it's just right. I'm slightly bothered that some stages have been made significantly easier in later releases. ie. a secret bridge appearing in Siege of Elensefar. Some scenarios have taken me close to a dozen retries (Princess o...

I'm suprised by the number of MacOS players here. All MacOS users are rumored to be professional actors imcompatible with games. I can assure you that this is an unfounded urban myth. :) Do I see many MacOS users here due to the number of MacOS players or due to the number of problems on this platf...

I've made some benchmarks, starting the Heir of the throne, doing nothing until turn 2, when a lot of units are about to move, then pushing End turn button. The AI need about 1 min 30 on my configuration to move. 0.9.5 took a bit more time to do the AI moves (around 10%) than 0.9.4. I compiled 0.9....
