Oh, I didn't realize the first player had such a large advantage from going first that it warranted giving P2 a free village! What happens in games with more than 2 players? I always figured P2 had an advantage from being able to react to P1's initial recruits and recruit suitable counters!

How do you bind a key? And what's the "command key"? That sounds like a Mac key...

Whenever I alt-tab out of wesnoth and alt-tab back in, the alt key gets "stuck", as if I was holding it down, and I have to press alt by itself to undo that. Makes issuing commands difficult! Playing Wesnoth 1.84 on Windows 7.

Whenever I play multiplayer with my brother on a LAN, and he's P1, and I'm P2, I start with a free "owned village", while he doesn't! Something must be wrong here... Playing Wesnoth 1.84 and we're both using Windows 7.

One thing that's always slightly irked me about Wesnoth is that villages provide no resistance to capture - you sneak a giant bat into a village, and it instantly capitulates! I don't know if this was an intentional design decision or just the developers taking the easy way around a problem, but is ...

I know this sounds trivial, but the blue units are REALLY hard to see on the minimap - they blend in so well with the water terrain! I wonder if there's a way to make them a different shade of blue so they stand out better...

Say, is it possible to run a LAN game with two machines on 1.2.3 and another machine or two on 1.2.5? I'm asking because Ubuntu has only 1.2.3 available while I don't see any way to download that version for Windows, only 1.2.4 or 1.2.5...
