Rare Name Gank Needs Rectification
Someone took my name "Laugkh" on the wesnoth server after I played a bunch out of it. Who did that? Can someone undo this and give me back my user name? It's an elaborate arrived at name that's unique and personal to me. Originally, I'm Nicholas. But I pick the rap name "The O Lo G&qu...

Re: Wesnoth RNG for Board Game Adaptation (dice, coins)
sorry. here's what I meant.
x is an integer between 1 and 6, inclusive.
y has the same story.
z is an integer between 1 and 6, incl., where returns of 1 or 2 get mapped to 1, 3 or 4 go to 2, 5 and 6 get 3.
The following combine to create a
a = 6x
b = 6x - 6 + y
c = z36 - 36 + b
am i rite?

Wesnoth RNG for Board Game Adaptation (dice, coins)
Wesnoth needs an RNG that gives returns 0-100. That's 101 possible returns. So with coins or dice, we need to emulate a d101. Coins: "1111111" Flip 6 coins. There are -1 + 2^7, or 127, possible outcomes. Each coin is good for 0 or 2^k points (0<=k<=6), where k=0 for the first coin, k=1 for...

chameleon_effect discusses strategy on Den of Onis
In this game, Northerners (Checkers aka chameleon_effect) vs. Loyalists (ylemson), at Den of Onis, chameleon critically demonstrates and discusses strategy in Wesnoth. Hopefully, both chat and move logs should reveal further insight into Wesnoth strategy for both hardened veteran and newbie alike.

unit name error
In 1.4 stable the orc aquatic unit is called a "nagini fighter" in the unit description window while the help document calls it a naga.
this is my first great contribution to wesnoth development.

league of speed
I'm glad this is being discussed. I don't see too many players playing lightning games, though. I'd like to find some players who enjoy that style of play. My preferred settings are: 60 seconds initial time increment, +8 seconds per action, +10 seconds per round. Perhaps we could get a little league...

Wose vs Loyals on Den of Onis
This game, rebs vs loyals @ den, was pretty dynamic. The game slowly developed, until a spearman on the western flank triped a wose trying to get to some villages. Another hidden wose laid a possibly devastating trap, which the loyalist managed to avoid by being especially patient. The woses are the...
