Re: Ghost sketch
alright than, glad this got sorted out. I'm busy with some exams now, I'll be back with some updates next week, say monday or tuesday.
I've already corrected some of the line thickening thinning, as wel as a correction to his left arm, I'm going to edit the last post as it's only minor changes

Re: Ghost sketch
I have indeed used Inkscape for my initial line drawing, however, I'm working in GIMP now for line thickening etc. As for the better & more accurate details in the hands, I have used my own hand for reference, and bones (unlike propertions ;)) I'm more familiar with, so a googled image of skelet...

Re: Ghost sketch
I've redone most of his left side in this newer version before I read your comments, I think I've adressed the angle of the arm, but tell me if it's still off. I've given him an extra vertebra, the clavicle is just below his cloak, however, it shouldn't be, don't tell me I've just noticed comparing ...

Re: Ghost sketch
No, you're right - the neck seems quite short. The proportions in general are quite distorted, but the artist has said this is intentional. Whilst this might seem like an excuse (=P) I'm perfectly happy to let it slide, since this is not a mainline portrait. Where did I ever say that this is intent...

Re: Some sketches
Jup, he's missing some support at his left side (our right side), easy to fixLord Ork wrote:I find it very good if you rotate it a little. Right now it seems about to fall.

Re: Ghost sketch
I've started on the line thinning & thickening, it's far from finished, but I wanted you to see his eye, I think I've got it right, but just to check.
I've also added his second hand, might be a little too detailed...

Re: Ghost sketch
Alright, some things have changed again: smaller eye, better mouth, nicer scarf details, one hand(!), nicer hair, some more thinned lines, ... and probably some details I can't think off...
hoping for another round of feedback! (don't tell me he's missing a hand )

Re: Ghost sketch
this is a very bare outline, hadn't really put any effort in thinner or thicker lines, except where I knew from my sketch they had to be thinner and yes the eye, well ehm, his right eye is looking good anyway :p lol guess I'll google me some good-eyed people about the looking wrong or right, it migh...

Re: Some sketches
you're doing a good job regarding the archeological correctness here :D Perhaps make the tops of the bones whitischer, the bases are 'dirty' whil the tops should be fairly unaffected... Don't make them look very brown, because only older bones look like that, and they're more likely recent ones... A...

Re: Ghost sketch
hmm... a dandy ghost?
I thought of the fact he's looking straight at us... it's nicer if he'd be somwhat facing to right, however, I've forgotten of that aspect entirely when inking this guy... here's the result: give my feedback!!

Re: Ghost sketch
I like a lot the idea of the second attempt. If you achieve a great transparency effect on the face it will rule a lot! On the other hand, is its body a bit small? thx, about the size of the body, he is missing most of the lower part of the cloak. Or are you talking about the width of his chest? I ...

Re: Ghost sketch
So much for studying :p
second try, with correct style, no more cape, but a hooded cloak, still no scarf but some folds
I was going to make the face very translucent & blurry, so I havn't payed too much attention to it... half is to be bare skull the other half is fleshed
