Re: Dwarvish Guardsmans in Survival Games (and default era)
It would change the gameplay of many campaign scenarios in which they are used to protect castle hexes, though.Yomar wrote: It would not unbalance the main game (Default Era) because players usually put them on villages,

Re: Lordbob's commissionned work: UtBS
New round of sketches! Instead of further diving into the previous set, I continued to work on the remaining units since the faction isn't completely defined yet. More research time means better ideas and more refined concepts, which is good for us, so expect more of these before you see any finish...

Re: Why does the Arkan-thoria have an elvish name?
Because... they don't only name places they live in? Well, yes, of course, but it's their name that is in general use, despite them seemingly having very little contact with the river. There's no particular reason why the elvish name specifically is the most commonly used one. That does seem to be ...

Why does the Arkan-thoria have an elvish name?
Why does the Arkan-thoria have an elvish name if by far and large it passes through dwarvish/orcish territory?

I think WML is very nice, to be honest. I feel very comfortable using it, and it looks quite clean.

Re: The Logic Behind the Dwarvish Name List
Warning: I put way too much thought into this. If you don't want an in-depth analysis on my current headcanon of dwarven nomenclature, feel free to skip this post. My current headcanon is that every dwarf has a regular name made of three pieces (perhaps one from the father, one from the mother, and...

Re: Campaigns order
Besides, if you played the tutorial, you are a beginner. And if you are a beginner, you don't want to tackle HttT as your first campaign, even though it's the game's flagship campaign. There are shorter and more beginner-friendly campaigns you'd want to play first... True. An Orcish Incursion is a ...

Re: The Logic Behind the Dwarvish Name List
Interestingly, a lot of the explicitely named dwarves in mainline campaigns don follow this pattern at all: Burin (TRoW), Relgorn (HttT), Thursagan, Rugnur, Durstorn, Baglur, Glonoin, Kuhnar (SoF), Stalrag (NR), Hamel (NR/THoT), Karrag (THoT) Burin and the dwarves in the Sceptre of Fire and Under t...

The Logic Behind the Dwarvish Name List
After spending quite a bit of time analyzing the dwarvish name list, I could identify a very distinct pattern present in all of those names (save one) - they are three-part compounds. The parts of the compounds repeat themselves extensively throughout the names in the list, but always in the same po...

Re: The legend of wesmere (Ka'lian)
hi all, i have a question guys, what happened to Ka'lian ? ( Galtrid, etc... ) they died? ( campaign: The legend of Wesmere, scenario ''elves murderers'' ) They could have been killed (the council was eliminated by Landar), or perhaps the council was simply dissolved. I don't think it's explicitly ...
