Re: Giving a Try with portraits
Yeah, the second drawing looks pretty good, though it could be closer to the sprites.

Re: Improved Konrad and "Clothed" Li´sar
Come on ugly is one of the last words I'd use. Sure they could benefit from some anatomy lessons (especially Li'sar) but I think Konrad is pretty decent.
This version of Li'sar is much better than the last, but Bimbo Barbie will never be a good look.

Ok, the Li'sar one is a joke at best, but this is quite good.

(on the other hand Harper is supposedly a female name, why did he get it as a male character in the beginning?). Harper is a gender-neutral name, it means "someone who plays the harp". First, it became a family name like most professions, and when it was used as a first name, it was mostl...

Re: Saurians towards necromancy
As far as I can tell Saurian magic is occult, like witchcraft and voodoo. While outsiders often see it all as dark and wicked, its core concerns deal with the strange and supernatural of any flavor. Communication with the dead is part of that practice and some of the darker branches would see necrom...

Re: Melbrin (Mal M'Brin)
He matches the portrait quite well now, though the bones and hair could be even darker, they appear almost black in the image. Thinner ist definitely better. The problem is, the portrait doesn't really match Mal M'brin that well. Looks more like an old human corpse than a fresh elven lich. He would ...

Re: The South Guard (Revised)
I'm under the impression that not just me, but new players and even a lot of existing players don't like the over amount of "defeat enemy leader" scenarios in our campaigns. Those are my main targets for reducing but feel free to chime in if you think those are worth keeping. For me, it's...

Re: Call for mainline portraits and story art
I wasn't aware anyone was doing anything on mainline content at the moment. There is plenty of movement on the UMC side, but the mainline forums seem deserted and the wiki is even more outdated. So where and how is this coordinated? I recently got back into Wesnoth and was thinking about doing some ...

Re: Terrain - cave path, castle overlay, lit
I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to do, and there is no default way to get a lit cave path castle, but you could use lit on any other existing castle. Here is an example with a troll encampment with troll keep and an orcish castle with an encampment keep, the caverns use dirt floors. Map-Sc...

You should clarify what you mean by doesnt work. it meant exactly that, didn't clarify because i didn't know what else to add and/or what is relevant i know its dumb to come to people and ask for help not specifying what the problem is in the first place but i really didn't know what else to add th...

Re: Seeking tricky WML examples
It's Wesnoth Formula Language . Ah yes thank you, that's the bit that I couldn't find myself. I still need more time to understand it, but at least it makes sense now. I agree that the example is way too complex to be of any practical use, as you can see above, it has so many interlocking bits and ...
