Hey everyone!

Paulomat4 asked me to make an elvish guy with a spear that would fit into the new elvish style. I'm new to making custom sprites for people but it gives me new motivation to do stuff :) . There's a lot of frankensteining going on with it, but I'd really fail if I made it from scratch and I also wanted to keep the new style as much as possible. Whatever here it is:

I'm no good with the shadows so it seems a little strange plus the spear would benefit from some tweeks and that's the reason why I'm posting it into this thread to hopefuly get some advices and/or critique, so be sure to write whatever comes to your mind :wink: !

Hope you like it and have a nice day ^_^ !

Hello everyone! When I look at it, it's been almost a year since I last posted some art :shock: and lately I've been playing BfW a lot so I decided to put my hands on some pixel art again. The start was difficult and I wanted to give up a few times :roll: but I'm slowly getting better again. I tried improving one of my best works and that is this warrior. I changed the helmet, belt and the pants. I hope you like it ;) .

This helmet looks better than the last one, it seems more legitimate than the previous which seemed to only have tiny eye holes. As to the pants, the leg placement seems to be too far apart based on the location of his shoulders and hips. They seem to come out too far, at least when I tried standing in that pose myself.

Hi, I tweaked the warrior a little bit. I moved his right leg one pixel to the right(two seemed to be too much) and I think it looks better, thanks for the advice ;) . Also polished some other things.

Hello people, here comes a mostly fankensteined amazon. Hope you like her. :)
It isn't very good but I figured maybe someone could use it

After almost a year :D I present you with an idea I've been working on. What you see is a (really) quick sketch, more like a proof of concept because I haven't seen centaurs here before. Now I'm looking for a way of differentiating several unit lines. Also I'd love to give them some unique weaponry. Any ideas? :)

I love the idea and the unit looks good. I do recall seeing centaurs here before but I could remember wrong. I guess traditionally centaurs are archers but personally I would like to see some sort of polearm on them.

I read the topic from the beginning, and it's really amazing how you've made progress with your pixel art skills, good job!

@SFault
Thanks for the support!
If you or anyone else could find the previous centaurs I'd love to see them for inspiration. :mrgreen:
Polearm seems like an odd choice since the attack is made with a swing (right?) and that might be difficult to do for a centaur. I imagine centaurs would use their speed and/or weight to pierce enemy armor. Or they could be archers as you said but that didn't quite work out for me. :( This pose is probably a dead end but I'm sharing it anyway.

I'd like to give him some hair but I just don't know where to start. Any tips?
His left hand is just terrible but it isn't going to stay that way. Don't worry.

@Andrettin
Thanks you very much, it's great to hear that. :)

I always imagined centaurs with long hair. There's a female rogue in the Art Development forum who you could use for inspiration, perhaps?
If presented with the opportunity, I would take great pleasure in becoming a world ruler.
