Random Class Leveling
Hey I'm curious if anyone knows anything or has any experience doing something like this:
Basically lets say Bob is going to lvl up from a Mage into a Red Mage. However there is a % chance that he will instead succumb to the ways of the white mage instead. If failed, Bob will become a White mage instead.
Obviously this would be a bad idea in particular due to players not loving that particular thing happening... but that's irrelevant to me at the moment. Would a chance based class system be possible with the system we have from a technical standpoint?
PS: Sorry if this is in the wrong spot but I couldn't find where else to put it

I kind of like the idea. You don’t get to choose — in effect, the character him/herself does.
Yes, I think it’s entirely doable with WML.

So does anybody know how it would be implemented lol? WML is not my natural language so I'm not sure which direction this would be in...

Hmm, I just got an insane idea: what if we use this as an MP modification for the Default Era? It certainly would make MP battles more challenging.

Would be possible, but I think this would require setting that random single choice sometime before advancement happens.
Even then might conflict with advance planning modification.
However why is it required to make it depend on default era? If it forces single era then there is no point to even write it as modification.
