Game crash ("runtime error")

Hi, games crashes when I launch game, or sometimes ingame ("...visual C++ runtime library..." "...runtime error..."). Strange: when I downloaded it (2days ago), it worked (played multiplayers games on server). Though, maybe it's related to my connection (unusual difficulties to connect to web today). Thanks for help (and for game! I'd like to test this 1.12.0!)

Config:
Windows 7 "édition intégrale" in French.
Wesnoth 1.12.0 (french too).

I rebooted my laptop, and since, game crashes again... arg.

Lets try a clean install:

Remove everything thats related to Wesnoth - by not just uninstalling it, but also deleting all userdata. (you may want to write down a list of installed addons, to install them later, also write down a list of wesnoth multiplayer friends) Check out this thread about locating Wesnoth userdata in Windows 7 - http://forum.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23894 Then, after a complete removal, download Wesnoth 1.12.1 (released last Sunday) and install it

Your problem could be caused by one of following issues:
1) Corrupted userdata (clean install helps to avoid the problems with old userdata)
2) Broken folder/file permissions (if thats so, try installing userdata to your Application Data directory, instead of Program Files)
3) Some addon not properly updated for 1.12 (if thats so, try tracking down which addon is causing map problems and notify addon maintainers)
4) Incompatibility with French unicode characters (1.12.1 contains cross-platform Unicode fixes, which might address this)
5) Anything else that I'm not aware of

Please post an update after trying a clean install, hope it will solve your issue
