Deselect Key
Is there a key on the keyboard that will de-select a unit? If not, I think it would be a nice thing to add. I may try to do it myself if I'm not alone in wanting this.
Background:
When I say de-select, I mean when you click on one of your units, and it's movement grid appears. I often decide I do not wish to move that unit, and I will right-click to de-select that unit.
However, for people using Apple computers without a right-click on their mouse, they cannot do this. I have an Apple laptop, and I often forget to bring my mouse with me when a good opportunity to play Wesnoth presents itself. Wesnoth has proven to be rather frustrating without a two-button mouse.

On a mac, you can cmd-click, which is the same as right click. Normally ctrl-click functions as right click, but for some reason Wesnoth is different.
Hope springs eternal.
