Colorist available for work
Hello, everyone.
Wasn't sure where I should drop this, it didn't seem like it'd be in the right place for the Art forums...
But I'm a colorist. I've been doing digital coloring for quite a while, and I have a degree in graphic design. I see that there's a serious need for artists in the community, and I wanted to offer up my abilities to anyone that needs them.
It seems like there's no end of sprite artists, and I'd need some time to ramp up to that. One thing I can do right away in the interim is coloring portrait pictures. I actually have a lot of experience in cleaning and coloring scanned line art. Here's some examples:
Again, I stress that I DID NOT do the actual line art. But the coloring is all me. If any one has art that they feel is ready to be colored or would like to see their concepts in color for the first time, please feel free to contact me via the board's PM's.
Also, mods, apologies if this is in the wrong place. If it needs to be moved, no worries.
I look forward to doing some interesting work here.
EDIT: This section is for pieces already done for Wesnoth.

Feel free to PM me if you start a new terrain oriented thread. It's easy for me to miss them among all the other art threads.

Yes, yes I did. I get that alot about that one, that's why I include the inset of the lineart on that one. Thanks for the compliment!theotherhiveking wrote:nice work. u really did the last one?

It looks good, and not too far to the style we already have.
There is often people that make nice line art but aren't that good at coloring.
When you see decent, but uncolored images in the art forums, feel free to make a colored version (pick the one you like).
For example, there are might be example in the Portraits for Northern Rebirth thread.

I'm debating if I want to start a draft now, or wait until I can get at my tablet.

If I ever get the hand of using this crappy Sketchbook Pro app, and get my hands on a tablet, I'll come to you for the coloring. Right now, this is the best I can do.
Out with the old, in with the new.

Drawing with a tablet (unless you have a very high quality one) is difficult. I still say that a good sketch and a scanner + digital coloring is a quicker and more effective process than all digital.
Of course there are some pretty awesome artists that can do it all, but it's all about tastes. Me, I'll take sketch + pshop everyday of the week.

Seeing all Northern Rebirth portraits colorized would be really nice.
