Unit names

Post by yeti »

It's just me or unit name (I mean Bowman, Merman, Wolf Rider, etc., not unit personal names) translations don't work?

They are marked with _ in .cfg files, but it seems to have no effect in my builds. Right pane, help, recruit/recall lists, ..., everything shows them in English.

Hm, I hoped so, but CVS currently doesn't compile (at least not with editor enabled), so I can't tell, and in a checkout from last night it still didn't work.

OK, I recompiled w/o editor (that passes) and it works.

I've seen loads of these instances, where a translation exists but isn't shown. The campaign dialogs seem ok, but the statuspanel, statustable and above all the Help pages are not. If nothing's changed since 0.8.4 was released (yesterday :)) then these overlooked places (bugs?) are still there.
