I won, but I lost!

Post by scott »

I was playing a multiplayer human vs AI game. I lost my leader, but since I had enough higher level units I was able to continue and crush my foes. Just as I killed the last leader it said I was defeated! What a letdown.

PS I was using 0.8.7 cvs from a week before 0.8.7 came out, in case that has been fixed one way or the other.

Isn't this the correct behaviour?
In single player, the AI loses when all its enemy leaders are defeated, but it can still continue to move its units.
The same can be true for human players.

This is the intended behaviour. If you have lost your leader, you have lost. This applies even if you are playing co-op, and your team wins.

I would prefer that a team win would still count as a win and have submitted a feature request to that point: https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?func= ... m_id=10843

Whether or not this will implemented is of course up to the devs. :)

If I'm the last/only human player, then why am I allowed to continue to play?
