Old age mod
Hi.
A long, really long time ago I was interested in Wesnoth to attempt to create something for it. However having no drawing skills I decided (instead of making totally new factions/era) to restrict to editing already existing factions (ones I liked most), adding new abilities, units, modifying old ones, etc. And so this "era" was born, nearly 3 years ago. It features about 66 factions - some of them are untouched completely but most (including default ones) were modified, lightly or heavily. For example, loyalists now have chaotic lineups, and most of default units now may advance to 3rd/4th levels (or even 5th sometimes). Kinda similiar to Ageless, i know, but factions differ and, unlike addons from server, it replaces basic data files becoming "default". This allows to use new lineups in campaigns, sometimes it is really funny and fresh experience
It can work however only on 1.10.7 (yes, old indeed) Wesnoth. So I realize that (especially since that version has almost no players on server) it wont draw much interest. But maybe someone will enjoy such experience, even if only singleplayer
Installation: download archive and replace data folder with archived one.

Re: Old age mod
Hello, i just am posting because i thought to tell you: more people will download and play your era if you create it as an actual add-on. In windows under My Game/Wesnoth/Data/Add-ons/ if you create a new folder you can add era's and add-ons that other people can play without editing core files. Here is a simple instruction i created for someone else.
Creator of: The Reign of The Lords Era,The Gnats Franken Dungeon.
Re: Old age mod
I know but purpose of this mod was editing core files (exactly for campaigns)
Re: Old age mod
1.13 has added some support for replacing core from addons. https://wiki.wesnoth.org/CoreWML
