I have made the following (Spanish) translation into endecasílabo verse without rhyme. It is pretty free, but informed with respects to the lore (or at least compatible with it, as far as I know).

The land of Wesnoth's banner bold
Comes not from its own land;
It comes from Dwarfdom, grim and old
Made by a runesmith's hand.
So now I tell from whence it came -
The Fire-sceptre great -
And of the makers of the same,
Their tale I now relate...
Comes not from its own land;
It comes from Dwarfdom, grim and old
Made by a runesmith's hand.
So now I tell from whence it came -
The Fire-sceptre great -
And of the makers of the same,
Their tale I now relate...

The land of Wesnoth dipslays it haughtily
But it isn't there where it was created.
In dwarven land, ancient and shadowy
By a runesmith it was forged.
Now I will tell you where it sprang from
The great and powerful Sceptre of Fire...
And of the people who elaborated it
Their history I bid you appreciate...

The adventitious fatherland of men,
Who South of the Great river accommodate,
—Oh human haughtiness betrayed!—
Shakes a foreign banner.
Although men were promoters
Of the deed, another kingdom more ancient,
Shadowy and ruined —the dwarfs
Forge it of the earth in the entrails.
What masters, what heroes fashioned
The great Sceptre of Fire? Oh Thursagan!
Oh Rugnur! Inspire me! That of passion
Raptured today my lips may sing (...).

- to point out that that page is outdated
- to propose my poem to be included in the Spanish version of the SoF campaign and
- to ask that it be included in the Poetry section, even as a poem on its own if not as a translation of "The sceptre of fire", which I pretend it to be.
