Ups, somehow forgot to enter that city.
It's the version before the latest, on 1.18. The second ending overview throws an invalid pango syntax error. From the text it seems like <span> is closed with </small> instead.

EDIT: also some of the dungeons and encounter areas spawned on water maps, which looked odd. And once I managed to enter a cave with a ship and then naturally couldn't move.

It's also a bit odd that you can scout ruins and yet they're sometimes still inhabited, even though you didn't find any sign.

Ok, I will check this. Too bad it is reported right now, after the big update.

I will prevent this in the future, by checking for the variable if you are onboard a ship. You can than decide to hop off board and swim.
I will probably add an option to land with your ship everywhere.

Yeah, I think that there is a chance for that, but it can also mean that you are bad in scouting, which is a check for your wildlife skill.

Hi everyone !
My first post here and first thing too : thank you very much for Stange Legacy Heindal, it's great to play ! :)

I have found some strange behavior for enemies on version 1.16.21.1
Sometimes after beeing surrounded or if the character stays still, enemies won't attack anymore. :o I have met this behavior with rats, zombies, and some other enemies as well. I know it is not very specific so let me know if you want me to test it and note precisely what is happening and context to describe it to you.

Also i have experienced infinte attack/battle when wolfes attacked me. So what happens is that my character and it's opponent exchanges strikes until one of them dies... :D

Thank you again for the game ! ;)

Those are not bugs:
1. This happens when you are too powerful and the AI deems it suicidal to attack you. I've seen it as well, since I buffed my defense as much as possible, having it at 100% in some terrains.
2. Those units had the berserk feat, that's all.

Hi Astradot,

that's awesome. Thanks for playing and even use your first post for me. Unfortunately lynx is right about the wolves. There are some wolves in Strange Legacy that have the berserk ability and they fight till the end. These are called Bloodwolf: https://units.wesnoth.org/1.18/Trader/e ... dwolf.html

But I can understand your confusion, as they look like ordinary wolves, they just should have a slightly red fur.
Timberwolf and Bloodbound are even far more dangerous than the Bloodwolf and have the berserk weapon special as well.

The behavior you described about the units that don't attack: this is indeed a bug and is a problem of the ai.
The ai will not attack you, when the chances are bad or you are about to level up, BUT I've set the aggression to the maximum so all of the units should attack you recklessly. This was caused by a bug that I hope to have fixed in version 1.16.27.

(in one definition I set the agression=1 but it should have been aggression ^^, shame on me)

I'm glad you like this add-on and I hope you keep enjoying it. There is even an RPG mode where you can play as an orc warrior and other less interesting races and classes :P.

1. I really like this campaign, which has at least four reasons. I. This campaign is turn-based. Well, the whole Wesnoth is. II. The player can do so much different things in this campaign. Well, you are already adding new features every now and then. III. This campaign focuses on single character development. I think John and the three other heroes should be much more powerful than any other unit of the player. Or, alternatively, other powerful units should be expensive and single-use only. IV. This campaign has an open world. I'm however slightly sad how linear the main story is. One way to make this campaign less linear would be more randomevents that will make the player need or not need to do something special.
2. My spoiler currently contains text I've copied from the campaign. I mean "House > Tutorials", some tool descriptions and maybe "Capital City > Cityguard > Explain Missions" in the future. Is it okay or do you tell me to say the things in my own words?
3. Oops! I meant 'Capital City'.
4. Hey! I said competitors could be nerfed if not being able to fight them would make the game too difficult. I remember you've already added some disadvantages with a positive side effect.
5. Building overwork? Will this be a new way to use skills?
6. I promised to build a road for the Traders of Capital City. I aborted the mission and re-chose it many times. Every time the x-coordinate was 13.
7. I started a new game and, when choosing the difficulty level, there was no picture next to (Harder).
8. Right after choosing my path, I moved to the "Crafting" hex. By right-clicking and choosing "Enter" I can get as many water bottles and grain as I want, one by one. I was able to cook more than one stew, each giving one experience point even though I had disabled experience gain from crafting.
9. I exited my house for the first time then successfully entered Royal Hunter Soceity immediately. It was possible in the worldmap but not in the citymap.
10. In Capital City, some equipment said "More Population required!" No one told me how to increase population.
11. The message in Capital City Bank says "...by delivering silk, diamonds and silk." A typing error, I guess.
12. A suggestion: at medium and hard difficulty levels the player can no longer move to shallow water, swamp, snow, sand and mountains before buying the appropriate terrain upgrade. The player is shown a warning message that recommends buying snow upgrade before winter.
13. I can make quick money by buying oldhelmets in Capital City Traders District and selling them in Hero Menu > Inventory.
14. In Capital City, I fetched water in north-east. Those hexes turned from shallow water to deep water. I managed to trap myself in the corner, becoming unable to move anywhere.
There are very much electrochemical currents in my brain.

Yes, of course. There was some water, and you took some out, so of course there is now more water than when you started.
Speak softly, and carry Doombringer.
