I don't get it. I could swear they are the exact same frame.

the sword in the second one is a slightly different color, other than that they are the same. i prefer the second one, the color looks more natural.

Yes, but if it is supposed to be a 1,2 attack animation i expected more difference between the two frame. Some sort of 1,2 attack with 2 different poses.

Perhaps what is needed is a big swish like the elvish champion? Although not as quite as big, 'cause the champs sword is Big after all...

Yeah, that's more what I'm talking about. Since "Heir to the Throne" is a more cartoony styled campaign, and the elbish lord is one of the main heros, a bigger more overdone attack would be cool.

Mmm the images are mostly ok but there is a large mistake in them.. elvish lord is holding his cape with his roght hand (see Kalenz portrait...) so in your images he ende with 3 hands :-/
For the melee image you could use another elf attack image and change it to have the face and clothes of the e.lord.

Damn. I noticed that, but then tried to convince myself it was a belt buckle... OK, I'll make modifications.

OK, here is a two-armed Elvish Lord throwing fireballs.

OK, I tried a quick test using the Hero's slash. Keep in mind that this isn't properly alpha-shaded, it's just a test of the posture, etc.

I would make him use both hands for the slash if possible...

the hand in the back gives a weird pause, and the size of the slash and the size of the sword suggest a heavy, two handed sword

Yup, that's what I meant...

I like the blue slash effect, it gives a "magical sword" feeling to it...

I agree, blue slash = very cool.

So, any further suggestions on this attack frame from anyone? Or is it practically ready for inclusion?
