Ok guys, I know my elephant unit was totally screwed, I hope this is better.

I find its usually a good idea to look at the committed sprites when trying to build your own. They're very helpful.

Ah... I see what this is all about.

I saw you elephant unit. And you were told it was facing the wrong direction.
It was facing right. UPPER right that is, looking away from us. And that's wrong.

DOWN right is the correct direction. Just look at any unit image in the wesnoth files and you see they're all facing down right. Heck, look at my avatar; it is facing the correct direction (and it can give you a couple of hints in colour use and shading too).
I wish I had more time in my hands.
