Map Editor problem

Hi
When I run editor.exe i writes:

checking mode possible...
0
The video mode 1024x768x16 is not supported
Attempting 1024x768x16...
1024x768x16 is not possible.
Attempting 800x600x16...
setting mode to 800x600
Required video mode 800x600x0 is not supported

and it quits
What I have to do to run editor?

Which version of the game are you using? Which platform are you running on? (I assume Windows?)

Ver 0.8.7 - latest at Windows 98SE

I have had a similar problem, and if I went into the game and set it to windowing, rather than fullscreen, then quit and loaded the map editor it would work.

Yeah...I think this is best solved by making the editor come up in windowed mode, since there seem to be problems with full screen mode in Windows on some systems.

After all, I think it is appropriate for the editor to run in windowed mode. Unlike the game itself, I can't imagine many people who'd want it fullscreen.
