Installed Debian 12, no sound
Hi All,
I upgrade to Debian 12 (bookworm) and not only my campaigns disappeared but there is no sound. All the boxes in preferences / sounds are ticked ... any ideas?
Thanks https://kodi.software/ https://dltutuapp.com/tutuapp-download/

Re: Installed Debian 12, no sound
Debian splits Wesnoth out into a variety of separate packages, so it sounds like for some reason everything except the base package got uninstalled during the upgrade.

Re: Installed Debian 12, no sound
It might be worthwhile trying to run this command in a terminal:
That should install any missing packages (if that is indeed the issue).
Code: Select all
sudo apt install wesnoth

Re: Installed Debian 12, no sound
Debian 12's Wesnoth package is actually the current 1.16.9, Deb 9-11 all were far behind. Fellow Debianers should note that most likely you'll need to install flatpak wesnoth in order to have the latest version in the future. But that's a while away since 1.16.9 kind of looks like the final version of 1.16 and 1.18 is still almost a year off I believe.
No cause for alarm, just giving some advance notice based on my experience with Debian & Wesnoth.
