Strategy map font
Hello,
Hope this is the right place to post this.
Does anyone know if there are any resources for creating strategy map labels using the same font?
I suppose I could screen grab and chop up the labels into small one letter images but it's a lot of work and being lazy I was wondering if someone had already done something similar?
I have created a strategy map already - just wanted to make the fonts match.
Below is the background image used in the campaign list as an example - as you can see I am no artist! Any suggestions, thoughts etc. greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Re: Strategy map font
The font used on the map of the Great Continent is Monotype Corsiva. This is documented in the article https://wiki.wesnoth.org/MapLocalization (also at https://wiki.wesnoth.org/ImageLocalization#Maps - but that article is somewhat out of date and uses the old map format).
Unfortunately Monotype Corsiva is not free so you might not have access to that. A very similar font (which is free) is URW Chancery (sometimes called Chancery URW, sometimes called Z003 for some reason). URW fonts can easily be found on the web. Also, if you have a Linux system this font is probably already installed; if it's not installed already you can likely install it with your package manager. On Debian/Ubuntu systems you can install it with this command:
Another free alternative is TeX Gyre Chorus. Again, if you are on Linux this is probably already installed. On Debian/Ubuntu it can be installed with:
Another alternative is ITC Zapf Chancery. Like Monotype Corsiva, Zapf Chancery is not free, but if you happen to have a copy you could use that.
