maybe the level 3 day wolf could have poison claws or something, it will take a lot of coding to make the wolves change when the time of day night

Okay.

To simplify things to an incredible amount, can we just stick with the classic "Werewolf"?

I have listened to his ideas, and they've got enough cliches to put many TV shows to shame.

Let's, say, make the werewolves a change-at-will-but-must-at-moon race, so that the terrible metamorphosis scripts are kept to a minimum.

If people can get the general idea done, i'll see if i can write up a draft recruit and levelling list.

BTW, I can see that Shadowblitz still writes for speed, not quality AND speed. That typo you mentioned was one of about five hundred in the thread. All based in your posts. :roll:

You want a faction of full-time wolf men that use magic? Are you sure you're not the "NAA" guy? What exactly don't you know how to do? If you have a text editor, you can edit a unit to write the config file. Do you have graphics? The "Create" tab at the top of the screen brings you to the wiki, which has detailed information on how to add units to the game.
Hope springs eternal.

For curiosity's sake, i wrote a unit list for him. Draft, but he likes it. If this goes forward, send the suggestions for unit listing my way.

Code: Select all

Were-cub -> Were-beast -> Werewolf
		-> Berserk Wolf -> Wulf
(Warrior class)

Wolfen Apprentice -> Wolfen Shaman -> Wolf-magi
			     -> Wolfen War-Witch
(Mage class)

Werewolf initiate -> Wolf Raider -> Wolfen Hunter
(Scouts)

Moonwatcher -> Nightstalker
(Backstab)

I hate to double post, but isn't that what happens with chaotic characters anyway? No point putting it in, Everyone understands the Day/Night system in Wesnoth.

Personally I think that a Faction made up of Werewolfs should have most melee units, close combat preferably, and few, if not none, magic users.
If you do want to implent a wizard line then I think it should not branch and the magic should have something to do with the moon ofcourse.

Anyway, I think it would be cool if this Faction would indeed succeed.
I heard they were stoned out of their minds, trying to convince the Statue of Liberty to get naked...

Sounds like "Werewolf the Apocalypse" (the World of Darkness universe.) Garou, Gurahl, Corax, Nuwisha, etc......
