new Scout defending animation

Post by jmosher »

I think we have to be careful in all the animations not to introduce a radical change in posture. The Scout's horse rears up so violently each time it gets attacked that it looks epileptic, especially since it happens each time the enemy swings, just for a moment. Other units that raise a shield or huddle down look far more natural by contrast.

why don't we just have the scout raise its shield so that it is blocking the enemy blow? this is common on many defensive frames. i am not sure what the horse would do, but i doubt it would move very much.
