Re: IT's Al_Raab Workspace

Well, it's been a while but I'm back. I had a hard drive wipe take out all my progress on this, and I kind of buried myself in other projects, general business, and a touch of crushing depression. I'll be looking back over what I've still got online and what direction I'm looking to go overall. The ...

Another excellent piece, yay. Right now the forehead is too long and it's throwing me off on the rest of the face. A forehead is about 4 finger width tall, and according to her hands, you've got a spare finger width or two in there. Just bring the hair down at the crest so that the hairline is more ...

The eyes may still be a bit small and wide, but I think I managed to take some out of the nose. I don't know, tell me if it looks better at all.

Satyr, half goats, would make excellent medium troops to support the centaur. It would increase your variety a bit, fit both the flavor of the units so far, and fit with the original mythology to some degree. I believe the intent of this faction was to fit with the minotaurs tha made up the core id...

Caracal. As to your remarks on the Sashimoto: It was more often the line troops, not the Samurai themselves who wore the standards, and they were made of lighter woods and bamboo so as not to be terribly heavy. Having the standard on the back like that made it easy, with a simple leather harness, t...

If your going to pull from the historical context of the Minotaur legend at all, Cretian Greek, and somewhat more tenously Summerian (centered around the goddess Ishtar), mythos should provide you some good ideas. Baal-Moloch, the bull god and the source of the Ishtar connection, could also be a goo...

If you will post up a complete list of stats for the all of the first level units I can go ahead and get them converted into .cfgs for you. I'll make race tags for their weight classifications, that should take care of the movetypes and traits all in one fell swoop. A good idea for now is basically ...

I'm at work so I can't fix the painting or do much real work on the sprites. However, I've been wanting to make a light unit that uses a form of sword dance, and I do have paint. so I'm trying to figure out a good attack pattern, here is what I have so far. Right hand is a Jian, Left hand is a short...

Man, these are getting really good! I think that's the best one so far! (captain) I'd have to agree, with the captain it looks like you've managed to land right on that subtle line between an action stance and a boring stance. Good work. (I won't bore y'all with a lecture on Sashimono since I didn'...

This is looking kind of dead, but I've been playing fallout and Jagged Alliance 2 again recently and just had a thought on something I would like to see. Basically it's the same old isometric 2d Jagged Alliance, with character sheets created in SPECIAL and using 3d characters and backgrounds so you ...

Damn thing is getting nit-picked to death. >.< I'd agree about removing the mail, it isn't shown on the archer and doesn't really fit with a unit training to be a ranger or avenger. (hides well in woods) Realistically? If the fighter is smart he's wearing a green padded doublet with a chain shirt on...

Kitty: I can't wait to see where you do next. As to elven handedness: Sgt. Groovy caught on my concern more, it's the bow being in the hand that the quiver indicates to be the on-hand that I find strange. It doesn't need to be fixed since it may not even be an error, it's just a little strange when ...

For what it's worth I would certainly appreciate an opening for scripting. I'm learning Ruby right now and could probably pick up Python/LUA easy enough, I've done a lisp-like and LOLCODE before also. Sadly I'm not enough of a C++ guru to really move this forward myself.
