Re: IPhone beta
This is a graphic glitch I've noticed.
When a level 1 rogue attacks it looks like they turn into a javelineer? They are back to normal after the attack is done.
It's consistent in the Rise of Wesnoth campaign, haven't played another to find out.

IPhone beta 2
Next version installed now! Gameplay is a bit faster on my iPhone, and it didn't crash randomly. Played through the first scenario of 'Rise of Wesnoth' and THEN after clicking 'End Scenario' it crashed. It did save the progress though and I was able to load scenario 2. Game interface: Scrolling stil...

Re: IPhone beta
I'd also like to suggest dropping the other options when you double-click on the castle tile. I imagine the user will almost 100% of the time want to recruit, so why have another menu. Who often would people want to put labels on iPhone maps anyway? I think it would be a good trade off, if it's not...

Re: Mainline Campaign: Under the Burning Suns
Good afternoon!
I just wanted to metaphorically 'tip my hat' to the creators of this excellent campaign! I'm playing through it and just made it to the 'into the frying pan' scenario.
I've enjoyed it a lot thus far and appreciate all the work you've done on this!
Cheers,
Guy

Re: IPhone beta
That's a good point... how about if it stops your unit movement and scrolls to the enemy unit that was sighted? Also, I think the map scrolling would be a lot less painful if it had inertia like the iPhone standard scrolling in the photo viewer and stuff... So that way, if you swipe fast with your ...

Re: IPhone beta
This looks excellent Kyle! I hope you are not feeling rushed with all this feedback. I for one don't have a clue how to do the programming you're doing so am just looking forward to the next release.

Re: IPhone beta
Have tried 8 games. All crash out within 3 turns. There is no consistent cause that I can see other than the memory issue.

IPhone beta
Ok. Hope it's ok that I started this thread. Have tried several campaigns and a skirmish game. Graphics and sound are great! Game has crashed out in all scenarios now, no apparent rhyme or reason. Trying to recruit - crashed moving a unit - crashed scrolling the map - crashed find the touch sensitiv...

Re: How many healers?
I've played a bunch of the campaigns now and as Elves I like to dispatch my healers in pairs or trios depending on the size of army, that way I can always have at least one finishing kills and getting stronger while the other(s) do ambulance duty. Further into campaigns I find it frustrating to have...

Re: iPhone port started!
- the price point has been set at $4.99. This is in line with or cheaper than other comparable iPhone games Well, there's $4.99 that's going to kill any productivity I planned on in the next month! :D Soon as this hits the store you'll have my money Kyle, excellent work! EDIT: DOGGONE IT! I just re...

Nope, geometrically, a steady progression. (It was already good, it's just steadily improved to being great)

This was the fastest I've ever been able to finish a scenario, 4 turns.

Re: On what version did you first play Wesnoth?
I'm not sure, but I do remember it was NOT multiplayer yet... I played through several scenarios and enjoyed it.
Didn't really even look at it again until a few weeks ago and found that it has evolved/improved geometrically since then!
