Re: Volunteering to do Portraits
Dang that's very good doofus! ^_^ Much better shape for the head. I think there's too much black in that image though, but still it's much better than mine, despite being humorous  I'd like to note also though that the difference isn't just in the corrected proportions but also general features...

Re: Volunteering to do Portraits
Very nice coloring, shading and texturing. The problem is the proportions of the face. It's very round. Even if it's not a human I still would have more adjusted face features. I made a quick pushover(?) on the image to demonstrate the point. You're correct and I did notice this myself too, basical...

Re: Image tweak request
I hope this doesn't offend Valkier, but I went ahead to create a slightly more effeminate version of the image, if this is what Trashman was bugged about... Also included an intermediate step in the process of editing (and the original image) to this comment. In the process though the head become sl...

Re: Image tweak request
Seems like a rather well-drawn picture, the style is controlled and clean, overall I think the picture is better work than for an example what I can do on a general level. Did you ask/talk with Valkier about this? I think it might be disrespectful to just modify someone else's work without considera...

Re: Volunteering to do Portraits
Alright I got something done so far, basically I've not decided if I should try and draw some features for the poltergeist and also not sure yet how to include swords into the picture, and also I made version with some sort of smirk for the dark fighter, I'm not sure if you like that.. Personally I ...

Re: Volunteering to do Portraits
Yeah I suppose I can try and create a smirk, but it's pretty complicated, expressions are hard to draw and control. Well at least for me, since I am not proper artist. I was sort of satisfied with the blank look of the character, but that in part occurred so that I was just doing something and when ...

Re: Volunteering to do Portraits
I got a bit lazy with the armor it's hard (at least for me) to figure out how it should look like and reflect light, and didn't end up doing it properly.. Anyway I darkened the armor a tiny bit, and changed the blueish color towards purple in the chest piece, and slightly adjusted the pads too.

Re: Volunteering to do Portraits
Started doing a portrait for the dark fighter earlier this morning, I'm not sure how long this will take, but will probably be ready today anyway. I have no idea if you're going to like the style, but we'll see!

Alright I got at least one version ready So what do you think?

Volunteering to do Portraits
Hello, recently I've started doing some artwork as a hobby. If anyone needs a portrait image for their era or unit, or something like that, I'd like to volunteer making them. So if you post a request here, with details on what it should approximately contain, and I'll try and and make a portrait, bu...

Re: Draconian Era - Art thread (Or lack of art thread)
In my previous comment I was trying to say that in this era there is no unit with a club, and that in mainline the nearest unit to represent the hammer-wielding barbarian would be the troll with a hammer. Perhaps I misunderstood though..?GunChleoc wrote:The Thug also has a club.

Re: Draconian Era - Art thread (Or lack of art thread)
As of now there is no unit that would have a club, I think the nearest unit would be a barbarian with a hammer. I think the nearest point of comparison to it would be level3 troll from mainline, except that it's a troll and maybe too intimidating in comparison. :D Certainly this would be usable as s...

Re: Draconian Era - Art thread (Or lack of art thread)
GPL is the same license that is used for Wesnoth and all it's art. I intended to use this for part of my campaign, but I now I'm not to sure anymore. Care to use it as a gnome? So far there are only 2 gnomes in the era (since the Gnome Spy is not currently included) and I think the previous gnome i...

Re: Draconian Era - Art thread (Or lack of art thread)
Somehow I ended up doing a new image for the gnome. I think it's in part because I don't know how these licenses work. Personally I don't somehow like outlining, dunno, it's not a big deal anyway

economy & trade scenario :)
In battle of wesnoth usually the theme of the game is a battle. I'm wondering if wesnoth platform could support an economy type scenario where players would instead of fighting engage in some sort of managing. :D It would be interesting if a couple of players could play a game of that type. Although...
