Re: Frantic Replacement
Hey guys, Thanks for the words. Check out the latest version of the track, it's getting pretty close to completion. I'm still thinking about the snare idea which I've really been wanting to implement but unfortunately all the snare samples that I own are pretty poor. But I actually would really real...

Frantic Replacement
Hey guys! Been working on a replacement for the old frantic in my spare time for a little while, here's a short demo. Please note it 's not complete but it should be enough to get the gist of where I'm taking it. Ideally like to get the track around 3-4 minutes before I submit a complete version. I'...

Re: Short Tension Cue (60s)
Thanks Sapient for the kind words!! Anywhere heres the updated version, with percussion and a fuller orchestration -> Not really a draft anymore. Waiting for confirmation from anyone in power re is this what you guys were looking for in terms of storyline cues? I deliberately scored this to be a lit...

Short Tension Cue (60s)
Hey Folks, As per Tylers request, I thought I'd give a go at writing a short (45-90s) cue for the short story sections. I knocked this up this arvo, its a little empty at the moment (missing little tinges of percussion mainly) and the gap between the first and second Cello phrases is a second too lo...

Re: Enchanted Forest
the harmony in this is amazing!!! Perfect!!
some of the string attacks however sound a little fake/too direct, and the crescendos i feel sometimes fade a little *too* far away, but as for compositional structure, its really really really good!! keep working on this !!

Re: Intro and event music
I'm more than happy to help, and I've got some free time that will be coming up in the next couple of weeks with holidays and all that. It would help if someone could let me know what kind of sound/mood/theme you're needing tracks for. Super-generic music is hard to come up with, so to make it a lit...

Re: Inspiration?
I gather inspiration from in-game graphics and music. I definitely want the music to fit the game, I'm exactly the same as Tyler in this regard. I spose when writing in this sort of medium you definitely have to be! It is without a doubt the most important thing. Obviously a person's work should be...

Re: [non-Wesnoth] Korg Nanopad
Hey West have you seen those Jazzmutant Lemurs ?!?! Everytime I see a demo of one I curl up in a ball and cry knowing I'll never be able to afford/justify the cost of one ... but they are SO cool! And as for the Nanopad, I don't have one, but they look exceptionally great for the price. One of my ma...

Re: Full Length Epic Northerners Battle Theme
Hey guys! Still alive and kicking, although real life's (you know, that thing ...) kinda had the better of me for the past couple of months. Here's my latest mix of this piece, the compression is turned down alot, and the strings are up, among other things. Lemme know what you think, I'm only upping...

Re: Full Length Epic Northerners Battle Theme
Just a quick message to let you guys know I'm still around, and that I haven't run off somewhere (well actually I did, I've been away traveling all around the state, from one outback town to the next, really awesome experience. It's pretty cool when you're staying at the only pub in a town that has ...

Re: Full Length Epic Northerners Battle Theme
Thanks for the listen zookeeper and PPH :D Question for you guys and everyone else ... Do you feel it's long enough as it is? I don't want it to drag on, but I don't know if you guys feel there should be more to it. I've heard this thing about a billion times now and it's the hardest thing to judge;...

Re: A Silver Wind (another try)
IoN! This is really good! I've listened to it countless times now on repeat. :D Your orchestration is brilliant! I love your little woodwind counter melodies and I love your doubling clarinet. You obviously know what you're doing in terms of instrumentation. Compositionally; I really pay the fact th...

Re: Newcomer looking for some feedback
TreizeCouleurs, I've heard your piece and I like it very much :geek: (might even use it in my campaign if I'll sort my WML issues...) Thanks sur! Don't use that version because it's not nearly complete, but let me know if you sort out your issues because I'll be willing to flesh that piece out into...

Re: Wesnoth for iPhone out now!
How can you even apply GPL to art or music, how can one supply a "source" for say a music track. These are not being submitted at the moment, isn't this in violation of the GPL? Something is very amiss here. Wouldn't a CC type license be much more appropriate? Besides my angry rant, credit...
