Hi, I open this thread to discuss the Heir to Throne campaign in Easy mode. Please make your suggestions about changes to scenarios to make the campaign in this mode more balanced.
I wanted the blowpipe of the master assassin to throw poisoned darts. Darts don't inflict much damage, but they are thrown with high precision. Thus I wanted 'poison' along with 'marksman'. I've tried two instances of 'special=', comma separated values, etc. to no luck.
This started as a post about the history of the Undead race and ended as a possible history about Wesnoth. It obviosly has nothing to do with the Heir to the Throne campagne. But I'd love Wesnoth to contain backgrund information which brings the world alive and not only the current story.
Ok... before I get going, please point out if this has all been discussed before and show me the way to the right thread :D I am more interested in playing than in Scenario developement so am not the most avid reader of this section :-(

The most fun of Wesnoth is developing characters, and gaining levels with my fighters. 3 leves for most units is quite ok, and 4 levels for mages is great, that makes their power really stand out on the battlefield, just as a mage should.
Two of my younger children, a 9 year old boy and a 6 year old girl, have been playing with wesnoth-editor a bit. To them, producing a playable map isn't the primary goal. They seem to use the editor as another paint tool, but one which engages their imaginations in a different way than a paint tool...

When I grab the holy potion on princess revenge it says that it makes close ranged weapons holy, wouldn't it be better to change it to melee weapons? first time i though all units to adjactant hexagons would get holy ranged attacks. Hi, i'm working on a Wesnoth Campaign Editor written in Python with GTK... actually i'm getting the basic skill to work with GTK, but i suppose i will finish my basic GTK training in a week or less.

I've been playtesting the Sceptre of Fire level, which IMO is far too hard. At is is in CVS I find it absolutely unbeatable at the normal difficulty level. I've watched miyo's replays and so know it's possible, but it just seems far too hard to me.

After reading the backlog on the Konrad campaign in easy mode, I wonder if it might be better to include hints in the scenarios themselves, rather than point newbies to read XXX, or trying to strike a balance between easy and mediuml and still get newbies through.
Funny scenario. But something should be done to protect the Orc and Human Leader much more. I moved one Gryphon to the north, a quick one to the south, occupied the village near the leaders and teleported Great Mages there to finish them off with ease.
Here are some thoughs about orcish 3rd level units. They are playtested and proved to be fun to play with. Perhaps some tweaking is needed.
Comments would be appreciated. I can do the graphics for these units if they are included in wesnoth, but fmunoz or slainte are definitively more talented...

I thought of this unit at work today. I wanted to create a level 2 ghost unit that had some invisibility and would be a good scout (especially for maps with fog of war) and could also be a decent support fighter. Definitely a work in progress.

I beat A Choice Must Be Made with only recalling 1 unit, a great mage, then I charged the undead base head on with Li'sar + scepter and used delfador and Kalenz for support and warped in the Great mage to help Li'sar kill the undead leader...
I have good news for scenario developers who were confused/annoyed/irritated by having to surround sequences of action tags with tags: I have committed a change to CVS which makes this no longer necessary!
