Wesnoth 1.16.4 & 1.16.5
Wesnoth 1.16.5 is out!
While 1.16.4 does exist as well, it was quickly replaced by 1.16.5 after a bug was discovered that caused frequent crashes when playing online multiplayer. It is therefore recommended that anyone who downloaded 1.16.4 upgrade to 1.16.5.
Otherwise, this is a regular maintenance release for the stable 1.16.x series, delivering bug fixes and translation updates. As is the norm for updates to the current stable series, this release is fully compatible with previous 1.16.x versions.
A full list of changes and new features added since version 1.14 can be found in the release notes for this series.

General- Frequent crashes in online multiplayer
It was discovered soon after releasing 1.16.4 that Wesnoth would consistently crash when playing online multiplayer games. This issue has been resolved. - Sidebar displaying incorrectly on low resolutions
The right sidebar will now display properly at 800x600 resolution. - AI sometimes causing the game to freeze
Fixed the AI taking far longer to move than it should in certain situations, which caused the entire game to freeze. - Scroll lock breaking hotkeys and mouse left clicks
Fixed an issue when using SDL 2.0.18 or later which resulted in the hotkeys and mouse left clicks not doing anything when scroll lock was enabled. - Crash when a unit's attacks are removed during combat
Wesnoth will no longer crash if a unit's attacks are removed during combat by some effect, such as an ability or weapon special.
General issues:
- OneDrive can interfere with Wesnoth’s user config/data directory set-up, leading to all kinds of different manifestations of the issue. There’s no fix available yet. The recommendation for the time being is to avoid syncing the Wesnoth user directory with OneDrive.
General issues:
- Preprocessor errors corrupt cache (issue #1924). If this happens you have to wipe your cache. That can be done in Preferences → Cache.

Re: Wesnoth 1.16.4 & 1.16.5
In 1.16.3, I noticed that the "Microsoft Input Method" could not enter my language, which also existed in 1.14.*, Only 1.16.2 can be used normally, 1.16.5 can use the "Microsoft Input Method" to enter my language?

Re: Wesnoth 1.16.4 & 1.16.5
I've never heard of Microsoft Input Method to be honest. I'd say to try 1.16.5, and if it still doesn't work, then open an issue at https://github.com/wesnoth/wesnoth/issues

Re: Wesnoth 1.16.4 & 1.16.5
The auto-generated release notes there would be empty since it's created only based on PRs, and the source downloads it automatically attaches are unusable since it doesn't include submodules, so there isn't really any reason to add 1.16.5 there.

Where is the full changelog?
http://svn.gna.org/viewcvs/*checkout*/w ... /changelog doesn't point to anything.

Re: Wesnoth 1.16.4 & 1.16.5
Hi Pent. A couple of months ago I made a comment in Wesnoth 1.16.1 release thread mentioning replace_schedule was not working correctly. It was apparently related to bug report #5757. Was the fix actually implemented in the newer versions of Wesnoth? Because wml code like the following still doesn't work.
