[Complete] Tournament of Champions 2: The Matches and The Maps

Post by Doc Paterson »

I've done the coin tosses. If you're listed first in your matchup, you won the coin toss and should start as player one in your first match.

Round One (Best of Three)

***You need to be certain that you're playing with 1.1.13.*** Hamlets has changed since 1.1.12.

Map one: Caves of the Basilisk
Map two: Hamlets
Map three: Den of Onis

********************************************

The Matches

Kollle vs. Roman Loyalist

Becephalus vs. Tchado

Sauron vs. Nickname

Pietro vs. Baruk

Chameleon Effect vs. Telly

JW vs. Jeff

Taurus vs. Sombra

Nordmann vs. Soliton

(It may interest our audience to know that I flipped "heads" 7 times in a row.)

I prefer that corner to remain hidden /

Yes, I should be there. Barring another major computer catastrophe that is...

I will be there, but I won't be in the best form. Congratulate me: I just got a new job. Working friday night, from 10:30 in the evening to 5 in the morning.

When will these be, and in what time zone are you taking them from? I'd like to observe them.

Which settings are we going to use? eg. 100 gold, 80% exp, 2gpv, fog that kind of thing.
Or just default map settings?

I think we're all assuming 5gpv, 1000G, 30 exp.

Tony, I don't know where you come from, but I think I can speak on behalf of the better players that we won't even consider this a legit tournament unless we get +18 income.

Isn't just easier to just write something like:

@baruk: most (all?) of the very good players (wich you will be facing some of) in this tournament consider it as something indispensable to play with the standard settings. That would for most (all? I'm not that familiar with all the maps) official 1v1: 100 starting gold, +2 income/turn, experience 70% and 2 gold per village.

Just a thought :D

/tsr - although understanding why the mocking takes place is a tad tired of it

Thanks for the constructive reply. I just wasn't sure if it the self-proclaimed leet wesnoth haxxors preferred 70% or 80% exp these days. Guess they must have finally stamped out the 80 percenter heretics.

Just to be sure, 18:00 GMT is noon Central USA time, right?

Also, where can I get the updated Hamlets map? I'm on Windows and don't want to "upgrade" to the reportedly crashy 1.1.13.
