[solved] Random crashes 1.16.4 on debian testing
Hi,
since the upgrade to 1.16 on my debian testing box i get random crashes in multplayer.
They always occur when i perform some click-action with the mouse (double click to attack, or walk somewhere or so, i didn't found a patter yet).
It always happens on my turn, never on the opponents.
Replays/observer games seem to run fine too.
Singleplayer also seems fine - maybe a network sync issue?
I use the package systems version.
Is this known?

Re: Random crashes 1.16.4 on debian testing
I'd suggest using Flatpak or Steam to get 1.16.6 and see if it also happens there.

Re: Random crashes 1.16.4 on debian testing
Oh, didn't realise that particular version was in Debian
1.16.5 was released 3 days after 1.16.4, the only changes being the bugfix for #6863(the crash in multiplayer) and an unrelated change to a manual-testing scenario.

Re: Random crashes 1.16.4 on debian testing
Well, https://github.com/wesnoth/wesnoth/issues/6863 could very well be it.
How to proceed further? open a debian bug ticket?
[edit] i sent a bug report
[edit2] bugreport is open: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... ug=1025478
